Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- Navik (General Duty): Class 12th pass with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board (COBSE).
- Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10th pass from a recognized board (COBSE).
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 22 years
- Candidates should be born between 01 Sep 2003 to 31 Aug 2007.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).
Key Skills
- Physical and mental fitness
- Swimming skills (preferred but not mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of security and maritime operations
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of four stages:
- Stage I – Computer-Based Written Exam
- Stage II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Document Verification, and Initial Medical Examination
- Stage III – Final Document Verification at INS Chilka
- Stage IV – Final Enrollment and Training
Salary & Career Growth
- Navik (GD & DB): ₹21,700/- (Pay Level-3) + Dearness Allowance and other benefits.
- Promotion up to Pradhan Adhikari (₹47,600/- Pay Level-8).
